Can we talk about using a cheap laser level for setting cabinet heights?

After 3 kitchens where my bubble level kept giving me different readings on rough drywall, I grabbed a $20 laser from the hardware store and it cut my layout time in half, has anyone else found a random tool that just works better than the standard stuff?

Yeah that cheap laser is a game changer for cabinets. I used to fight with those old bubble levels for hours on rough walls and it was always off by a hair. The $30 laser I got paid for itself after one kitchen, no joke.

@uma_lopez you're totally right about that. I saw a YouTube review where a guy tested a $25 laser against a $200 one and honestly, the line was almost the same after a few feet. Made me realize I was way overthinking it. Grabbed one myself and hung a whole row of cabinets in half the time, no fussing.
