Went to a Habitat ReStore and saw something wild

Stopped by the one in Phoenix last Saturday. Found like 15 broken power drills on the shelf, all missing batteries. Who actually buys that stuff and tries to fix it?

Man that toaster bin sounds like a fire hazard waiting to happen lol. Last time I hit up a ReStore in Mesa they had this old blender that looked like it survived a house fire, still had the price tag on it for $15. Some guy was seriously inspecting the cord like he was about to buy it and fix it up. I feel like half the stuff there is just people's junk they didn't want to haul to the dump themselves. Saw a box of mismatched Tupperware lids once, no containers at all, just lids. That's when you know they're just tossing anything in the donation pile.

Went to one in Tucson last month and they had a whole bin of toasters with the cords cut off. Like who is walking in there thinking "yeah I'll rewire this bad boy myself." I swear some of that stuff gets donated just so the store can claim they're recycling it. Saw a coffee maker with mold growing in the water reservoir too like that's a fixer upper.
