My kitchen faucet handle snapped off right before my shift...
I managed to find the cartridge model online and swapped it out with a $15 part from the hardware store in about twenty minutes. Has anyone else had a Moen faucet just give out like that?

That plastic cartridge stem seems to be the weak point. Did you notice if yours was cracked or just sheared off from normal use? I'm curious if it's a design flaw or just cheap material.

Watch the cartridge on that one, Moen actually uses brass stems in most models not plastic.

Oh man, the "just give out" part is so real. My Moen kitchen faucet did the exact same thing last year, the handle just snapped clean off when I went to turn it on. It felt so cheap for a brand that's supposed to be good. I found a YouTube video that showed the whole cartridge swap, and honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be. Kind of makes you wonder about the plastic parts they use inside these things.
