My garage door spring snapped on a Sunday morning
I was getting ready to leave for a hike last month when the spring on my garage door broke with a loud bang. The door dropped about halfway and then just hung there, crooked. I had to find a YouTube video and spend $45 on two new springs from the local hardware store. It took me about 3 hours to replace both of them with basic tools. Has anyone else had a spring break at the worst possible time?

Oh, the classic "loud bang on a Sunday morning" special. Of course it happens right when you're trying to do something fun, not when you're just sitting around on a Tuesday afternoon. I'm impressed you tackled it yourself, those springs look terrifying.
