Laundry room faucet finally gave out after 15 years

The old faucet on my laundry sink started dripping back in April, then last week the handle snapped clean off when I tried to turn it on. I spent Saturday replacing it with a basic $35 model from the hardware store, but now there's a slow leak where the supply line connects. Anyone know if those rubber washers need to be tightened more after the first few days of use?

Honestly I'd just give it a little snug with a wrench and see if that does it, half the time those things just need to settle in after you first install them. @tylerw72 makes a good point about the cheap rubber too, but I wouldn't swap the whole thing just yet over a tiny drip.

Man, "handle snapped clean off" is honestly a blessing in disguise because who knows how much longer that thing was gonna hold. But that leak though... I'm gonna be the guy who says maybe you're overthinking this. It's a $35 faucet, right? Those things are basically made of hopes and prayers and the cheapest possible rubber they could find in China. Tighten it a hair more but don't crank it like you're trying to start a lawnmower. If it's still dripping after a solid snug, probably just return the whole thing and get a different brand. I've had those basic ones where the threads don't even match up right from the box.
