I just fixed my 25th wobbly chair leg this year, which feels kind of wild.
It started because my own dining chairs were driving me nuts, and now friends just drop them off. I mean, it's just a mix of wood glue and clamps, but seeing that number surprised me. Anyone else end up with a weirdly specific repair side gig?

What kind of chairs are people bringing you the most? I'm picturing a pile of those classic wooden dining chairs with the spindly legs that always seem to work loose.

You know, I saw a whole article about this exact thing. It said those old wooden chairs are the most common repair job by far, just like you guessed, Willow. The problem is usually the glue in the joints drying out over decades, not the legs breaking. People get attached to them because they were grandma's or something, so they don't want to just toss them. I fix a ton of those spindly leg chairs every single month, more than any modern stuff.

Actually those old chairs usually have loose dowels from wood shrinkage, not just glue drying out.
