Found out my toaster oven draws 1500 watts and now I'm scared to plug it into the same circuit as my coffee maker
I was checking the specs on a replacement heating element for my old Black & Decker and saw the label says 1500W which blew my mind since I've been running both it and my Mr. Coffee on the same kitchen outlet for years without tripping the breaker - has anyone else discovered their small appliances are secretly power hogs and had to rewire a room?

Wait are you sure you've never tripped it? Because I had this EXACT same issue and I bet your breaker is closer to popping than you think. Run both full blast at the same time and see what happens, I dare you. I found out my toaster and microwave together trip my 15 amp circuit instantly but they work fine separately. Have you actually checked the amperage on that coffee maker? Most drip machines pull like 800-1000 watts alone and when you add that toaster you're hovering right around the limit. My guess is your breaker is a 20 amp and you've been lucky so far but better safe than sorry.
