Finally tried the heat gun vs hair dryer trick on a stubborn vinyl floor tile
The heat gun got it up in under a minute, but the hair dryer just made the glue tacky after 10. Anyone have a go-to for getting the leftover adhesive off clean?

That leftover mastic is the worst part. Try a plastic scraper and some citrus based adhesive remover, the kind for stickers. It's slower but won't damage the subfloor like a metal blade or harsh chemicals might.

Slower" is putting it nicely, I think I grew a beard waiting for that citrus stuff to work.
