Blew $60 on a fancy drain snake that broke on the first clog in my bathtub

The cable just twisted and snapped trying to get through some hair and soap gunk, and now I'm back to using a $3 plastic strip from the dollar store that actually works better. Has anyone else had one of those 'pro' tools just totally let you down like that?

60 bucks, thats practically a pro pricing mistake, plastic strips are the real heroes.

Oh man, my friend actually bought a pack of those plastic strips from a hardware store for like eight bucks and used them to fix a cracked kayak hull. It held up for two whole seasons before he finally upgraded. So yeah, paying 60 bucks for something similar feels kinda wild when you know what the cheap stuff can do. But I guess if it comes with a fancy brand name and a warranty, maybe it's worth it for some people.
