Rant: Tried the cheap Harbor Freight nail gun instead of the Dewalt

I had to pick between a $40 Harbor Freight brad nailer and a $200 Dewalt for my basement trim work last weekend. Figured I'd save cash since it's just a one-time job, you know? After about 50 nails the thing started jamming every third shot and the depth adjustment stopped working. Should've just borrowed my neighbor's Dewalt, now I'm stuck with a pile of half-finished baseboards. Anyone else learn this lesson the hard way?

Is it just me or does that kinda cheap vs expensive logic apply to everything now, not just tools? You spend $40 to save $160 and end up losing a whole weekend anyway.

Isn't that just buying yourself a future headache to save a few bucks?
