Just realized my PC boot time dropped below 10 seconds after a simple BIOS tweak
I was messing around in my BIOS trying to fix a weird sleep mode issue and found an option called 'Fast Boot' that was set to disabled. Enabled it on a whim and now my system goes from power button to Windows login in like 8 seconds flat. I had been living with 30+ second boot times for over a year because I never bothered to dig in there. Makes me wonder what other hidden settings I've been ignoring. Anybody else stumbled on a random BIOS setting that made a noticeable difference?

Fast Boot" usually just skips the POST check, so you're not really gaining performance, you're just hiding the startup time behind the Windows logo. My PC went from 25 seconds to like 12 with it, but I turned it off after I couldn't get into my BIOS for a week. It's a nice trick if you never need to troubleshoot, but don't act like it's some hidden superpower.

Yeah, it's kind of like those "express lanes" at the grocery store that skip the bag check but then you get stuck behind someone with a price check. @wrenwilson nailed it with that BIOS thing, I've had the same panic where I'm mashing Del and nothing happens. It's one of those shortcuts that works great until it doesn't and then you're kicking yourself. Idk, maybe it's just me but I'd rather have the full startup time and know my system is actually doing its thing.
