Vent: that tip about using sandpaper instead of a hole saw for fan grills
Tried sanding down a 120mm fan hole in my old case and it took 45 minutes of elbow grease just to get it round. Grabbed a $12 stepped drill bit from Harbor Freight and had the same job done in 8 minutes flat. Did anyone else get suckered into that sandpaper trick too?

Tbh that sandpaper trick is wild. I tried it once on a cheap case and my arm felt like I went ten rounds with a boxer. 45 minutes in and my hole looked like a potato shape. Switched to a stepped bit and it was so fast I felt dumb for not doing it sooner. I should have asked myself sooner if I was building a PC or starting a new career as a manual laborer.

Grabbed a stepped bit after reading a post like this and it saved my sanity. @evanfox you're not kidding about the potato shape though, mine was so bad the USB ports barely fit. Took maybe ten minutes with the bit and a drill on low speed, smooth as butter. Felt like I'd been overcomplicating a simple thing for way too long.
