Took a Dremel to my case after a forum guy said 'just do it'
User 'MechMaster42' told me to stop overthinking and cut the drive cage out. I was scared of ruining my Fractal case. Finally did it last Saturday with a cutoff wheel. Airflow is way better and my GPU temps dropped 8 degrees. Anybody else get pushed into a mod by someone online?

Playing devil's advocate here - that hole you cut is a one-way street. You can't undo it if you ever want to sell that case or decide the noise from the open drive bay area drives you crazy. Plus Fractal cases are engineered for balanced airflow (they test that stuff), so messing with the internal structure might actually mess up the pressure dynamics in ways you won't notice until later.

Honestly drilled a hole in my desk for cable management once and immediately regretted it when I spilled coffee through it.
