That afternoon I spent sanding a $50 thrift store desk changed my mind about wood grain vinyl wraps

I was super skeptical about using adhesive vinyl to mimic wood on my PC case, figured it would look cheap and bubble up after a week. But after seeing how the grain pattern matched up after I took my time with a heat gun and squeegee, I actually had to double check it wasn't real veneer. Has anyone else tried this stuff for a case panel and had it hold up over a year or two?

Heard a buddy say his vinyl wrap lasted through two humid summers with no peeling.

Faithjones must live up north where the humidity is just a rumor. Down here in the swamp I call home, I'd bet a week's pay that vinyl would start curling up like a sunburned potato chip. Still, I'm impressed your buddy got two years out of it. Maybe I ought to test a small strip on an old side panel and see if it survives a summer on my porch before committing to the full build.
