Spent 16 hours on a paisley-painted case mod for a client and it got me thinking about function vs flash

Heard a guy at a LAN party say he'd trade custom paint for better cable routing any day, and now I'm wondering if my latest project went too far on looks without enough thought about airflow - has anyone else had a build look great but run hot?

Totally agree, I built a fractal terra with this wild mirrored chrome paint job once and it looked sick but the GPU was cooking itself. Had to drill extra holes in the side panel just to get some airflow going.

Haha drilling extra holes is basically just the "advanced airflow mod" my mom warned me about.
