Shoutout to the guy on this sub who told me to ditch my Dremel for a jigsaw on acrylic panels
He said I'd get cleaner cuts with less melting, and after 3 tries on scrap plexi, my side window actually looks professional instead of like a melted mess, anyone else had better luck with one tool over another for specific materials?

Got a similar tip from a buddy about using a flush trim router bit for plexi after my Dremel left a warped, smokey mess on a fan grill. The router bit with a guide bearing gave me these perfect, clean edges with zero melting, just had to go slow and keep the RPMs down. Took a few practice runs on scraps to get the feed speed right, but now it's my go to for any acrylic work. Still use the Dremel for rough cuts or tight curves though, it has its place. Jigsaw works great for straight lines, but I find the router gives more control on detailed stuff.

Dremel with a cut-off wheel and some patience works better for me. Less setup, same result.
