Read a post saying you can use a hairdryer to shape acrylic side panels
Tried it last night on a scratch build I'm doing with a $20 sheet from Home Depot and it actually worked better than messing with a heat gun. Anyone else tried weird non-standard tools for case modding?

Hairdryer... that's actually genius and way less scary than waving a heat gun around near your fingers.

Hmm, I gotta disagree a little @the_anna. A hairdryer just doesn't get hot enough to do much with shrink tubing or heat shrink, you'd be standing there forever. Plus the airflow is way too wide and blows everything around. Give me a heat gun with a small nozzle any day.
