Ran into the guy who taught me to cut acrylic with a scoring knife
Saw him at Micro Center last month after like 8 years. He was picking up a roll of mesh filter material and I almost didn't recognize him. He said "Still using that old jigsaw trick I showed you?" and I laughed because yeah I still do. It's funny how one 2-minute tip from a stranger can stick with you longer than half the stuff you learn from tutorials. Anyone else have a random person from a meetup or store that changed how you build?

That scoring knife trick saved me so much wasted acrylic over the years.

Man, I totally get that! My buddy Dave tried to save money by skipping the scoring step on a big plexiglass project once. He ended up with a jagged, cracked mess that he had to scrap and start over. After that, he even bought a special scoring tool and won't touch acrylic without it now.
