Yeah the "learned a lesson about rubber mats" part hits hard. That 2am panic when you realize you skipped laying down something soft is the worst feeling. At least now you know and probably won't make that mistake again.

Ugh the 2am panic is real. My first time I ended up using an old bath towel but it slid all over the place and I was just sobbing on the floor trying to keep the lights off and be quiet. Now I just keep a thick yoga mat rolled up in the garage specifically for emergency sit-downs. It's those little things you never think about until you're literally paying the price.
