Broke my Dremel cutting a window panel at 2am

Was trying to cut out a side window on an old Cooler Master HAF 912. Dremel got hot, kicked back, snapped the bit clean in half. Hit my thumb pretty good. Ever since that night, I always clamp down the panel and use a slower RPM. Anyone else wreck a tool on a night mod session?

Oh man, the thumb thing too? I once tried to swap a hard drive in a dark room at 1am and ended up dropping the whole drive on my foot. Took me a week to stop limping. There's just something about late night projects that guarantees blood.

That 2am thing is a classic mistake and I've done it too, but not just with tools. It's like the whole world suddenly decides you need to learn a lesson at the worst possible time. You're rushing because you want it done, and that's exactly when stuff breaks, you cut yourself, or you realize you put a screw in backwards. Happens with everything from changing a car tire to assembling furniture. You just kind of accept that if you're working past midnight, you're probably going to pay for it somehow.
