Tried a laptop cooler with a Peltier element and it backfired badly

I picked up one of those USB cooling pads with a thermoelectric chip for $20 on AliExpress (yeah, I know). After 30 minutes of gaming, my laptop was actually hotter than before because the cold side made the heatsink sweat condensation all over the motherboard. Has anyone else dealt with moisture issues from those Peltier pads?
