Almost fried my motherboard at a coffee shop in Austin last month

I was coding at a cafe near South Congress when my laptop fan went into jet engine mode. Turns out the table was one of those solid wood slabs with no ventilation underneath. My CPU hit 95C before I realized the intake vents were completely blocked by the table surface. Has anyone else run into this with those trendy thick tables or am I just unlucky with my laptop placement?

The other day my AC broke and it hit 88 inside my apartment and I thought I was gonna melt into the carpet. @fiona502 at 95 you might as well just set up camp in the fridge.
