Question about using peel and stick tile vs real tile for a kitchen backsplash
I redid my kitchen backsplash a few months ago and had to pick between real ceramic subway tile and the peel and stick vinyl kind. The real tile would have cost about $300 for materials and taken a full weekend to install with mortar. I went with the peel and stick because it was only $75 and I got it done in an afternoon. It looks okay from a distance, but up close you can tell it's fake and I'm worried about how it will hold up near the stove. Has anyone else tried the peel and stick stuff and had it last more than a year or two?
