Paint sprayer or roller for kitchen cabinets? Had to redo mine after I realized I was using the wrong nap the whole time.

Yeah I read somewhere that a lot of people mess up the nap choice for cabinets. It's not like painting a wall where a thicker nap hides stuff. For cabinets you pretty much need a 3/8 or 1/4 inch nap max or you get that terrible stipple look. Anyway I totally agree with the sprayer idea. You can get such a clean finish even with a cheap handheld one. But man you are not kidding about the overspray. I taped off my whole kitchen once and still found little paint dots on the fridge a week later. So it's worth the extra masking time if you want that smooth look.

Wait, you used the WRONG NAP the whole time? Like for all of them? Man, I've been there with the wrong roller on a big wall project and it drove me nuts. I'd say paint sprayer all the way for cabinets though, especially if you want that smooth factory look. Just make sure you mask everything off real good or you'll be finding specks of paint in weird places for weeks.
