My dad insisted I needed a 4-foot level for tiling my bathroom floor
I thought my 2-footer was fine, but the longer level showed a subtle dip that would've ruined the whole job. Anyone have a go-to brand for a good, affordable long level?

Wait, you were gonna tile a whole floor with just a two foot level? That's wild. The longer one catches dips you'd never see. I just use a cheap one from the hardware store, it works fine.

My buddy Mike tried tiling his kitchen with just a two footer once. Ended up with a corner that sloped so bad his dog bowl kept sliding into the cabinet. @piper_green nailed it, those long cheap levels are the way to go.

Oh man, you are so right. A two-footer is basically a toy for a whole floor. I tried it once in my bathroom and the tiles looked like a roller coaster when I was done. You need that four foot level to find those long, gentle slopes. A cheap long level is way better than a fancy short one for this. It's the one tool where the budget option is actually the right choice.
