My basement drywall went from smooth to garbage in 6 hours
I hung and mudded a 12x12 room on Saturday and it looked perfect at noon, then by 6 PM every joint had a blister the size of my fist. Turns out I forgot to prime the concrete walls before installing the drywall over the furring strips. Anyone else deal with moisture wicking through and ruining their finish?

That "perfect at noon, garbage by six" is just life reminding us nothing stays nice forever.

and that's the part that gets me every time, @dakota_rivera. like why does it have to hit so hard when you know it's coming? i mean, you spend all that time making something good, and then it just... falls apart. do you think it's worse when you see it coming from a mile away, or when it sneaks up on you and catches you off guard? because i swear, some days i can feel the shift happening and i still can't stop it. it's like watching a wave curl over and knowing you're about to get wiped out but you just stand there anyway.
