Finally tried that two-part epoxy for a cracked porch step after years of doubt

I had a step on my front porch that was split down the middle for about 2 years. A buddy at the station kept pushing this Loctite epoxy stick, so last weekend I gave it a shot. Has anyone else had good luck with epoxy on outdoor concrete cracks, or is it more of a temporary fix?

That two-part epoxy for a cracked step after years of doubt" - sounds like my whole life philosophy right there, buddy. I mean, we all got that one project we stare at for two years thinkin' it'll magically fix itself. I tried that Loctite epoxy stick on a crack in my driveway last summer, figured what the hell. It held up through a few rainstorms and a snow shovel, but then a chunk popped out like a bad tooth. So yeah, it's a temp fix for sure, but sometimes temp lasts longer than you expect. Just don't expect it to look pretty or survive a heavy snow plow.

Wait is a cracked step really that deep though? I mean it's a step not a load bearing wall or something. Tbh I'd probably just slap some duct tape on it and call it a day.
