Spent 3 hours aligning a single pillar in Skyrim

I was trying to fix a pillar in Bleak Falls Barrow that was clipping through the floor. Thought it would be a quick 10 minute tweak in the editor... turned into 3 hours because I kept nudging it pixel by pixel. Finally figured out I had the wrong snap setting on. Has anyone else lost a whole afternoon to something that simple?
