Had to pick between two mod menus for Skyrim and went with the janky one
So I was messing with Skyrim Special Edition last week and hit that wall where I had to choose between SkyUI and a simpler inventory mod called Itembox. SkyUI is slick, everyone uses it, has all the sorting and search features you could want. But Itembox was this tiny mod that just puts a floating window on screen with your gear in big text, no mouse needed, super keyboard only. I went with Itembox because I play on a laptop trackpad and dragging stuff around in SkyUI drove me nuts after an hour. It took me like 20 minutes to figure out the hotkey setup cause the readme was half in Russian, but once I got it, man it feels way faster for swapping weapons mid fight. Anyone else go for the weird unpopular mod over the standard one and end up liking it better?

Oh man, YES. I had the exact same thing happen with Fallout 4. Everyone swears by this huge settlement mod that adds all these tools and snapping grids, but I went with this tiny one that just lets you place objects without collision. It looked so basic and janky, no fancy menus or anything. But it took me like ten seconds to set up and I was building crazy stuff in minutes. I actually uninstalled the popular one after a week cause it was just too much.

Wait isn't that the Place Anywhere mod or something different?
