Can't believe how many mods break because of texture folder names

I was fixing a Skyrim house mod last night and found the author used "textures" and "texture" in different folders, so half the walls showed up purple. This kept happening with a bunch of mods from the same guy on Nexus. Anyone had luck with batch renaming tools to fix stuff like this without a hex editor?

Heard someone on a modding discord say Mod Organizer handles mismatched folder names better.

Wait, "mismatched folder names"?? You mean like when a mod has the data folder inside another folder or named something dumb? @sean_murray I gotta say, that sounds a little hard to believe. I've used MO2 for years and I still run into issues if a mod's folder structure is off, like it'll install but nothing shows up in game. Vortex is even worse about that stuff, it just throws everything into a giant mess and you gotta manually fix it. But Mod Organizer is basically just a fancy virtual file system, so if the paths don't match up, it shouldn't magically know what the creator meant. Maybe whoever said that on Discord was talking about a specific plugin or tool, not the base program itself. I'd take that with a grain of salt unless they showed receipts, honestly.
