Blew $40 on a texture pack that broke my game save

Saw this paid texture pack for Fallout 4 that promised 'zero performance hit'. I was skeptical but dropped $40 anyway. Installed it, played for 2 hours, then my save file corrupted when I fast traveled to Goodneighbor. Spent another 3 hours trying to fix it before I just deleted everything. My advice: stick with free mods from Nexus that have actual user reviews from the past 6 months. Anybody else get burned by a paid mod that looked too good to be true?

Wonder if your save was already buggy before you installed it.

Yeah "wonder if your save was already buggy" makes me think maybe the mod itself wasn't even the problem.
