3 years ago I swore texture mods were just for show. Then I tried one on Skyrim last week.

I used to think texture mods were a waste of time cause they dont change how the game plays. I had this whole argument with a guy on here about it back in 2021. But last week I was bored and decided to try out a landscape texture pack for Skyrim at my desk here in Portland. It was just a free one from Nexus, took maybe 10 minutes to drag and drop into the mod folder. Soon as I loaded into Riverwood the rocks and grass actually looked like real dirt and moss instead of blurry green splotches. I spent the next 3 hours just walking around looking at trees and cliffs instead of questing. It made me realize I was being stubborn just cause I didnt want to mess with file paths. Has anyone else had a mod type they hated on for years then finally gave a shot?
