Vent: My neighbor watched me hang a shelf for 45 minutes then said nothing
I was putting up a new shelf in my hallway last Tuesday, trying to get the brackets perfectly level. My neighbor came over to borrow a drill bit and just stood there watching me for 45 minutes without a word. Finally after I drove the last screw, he pointed at the shelf and goes "you know that's gonna fall, right?" He then showed me I'd missed a stud by two inches... the whole thing was held by drywall anchors alone. I had to take it all down and start over. Has anyone else had someone just watch you mess up without saying anything until you're done?

Might be an unpopular take but watching someone so focused it's hard to interrupt.
