Tried fixing a leaky faucet last Thursday ended up flooding my kitchen
I thought swapping a $12 cartridge would be quick and easy. But I cross threaded the new one and water shot out at full pressure when I turned the supply back on. It took me 45 minutes to find the shutoff valve under the sink behind a bunch of junk. My floorboards are still warped and I'm out $80 for a plumber to do it right anyway. Anyone else have a simple job turn into a whole weekend mess?

Did you at least find some cool stuff under the sink though?

Not gonna lie, the $80 for a pro is worth it if you saved your floor from more damage. I'd rather pay once than deal with warped boards for months.
