Took me 3 tries to realize you can use dental floss to hold a cabinet hinge in place while you screw it in

Yeah my buddy tried doing that once and spent like twenty minutes wrestling with the hinge before his wife walked in, laughed at him, and just held it with her finger the whole time. He still swears by the floss trick though.

Man, that floss trick is wild. I tried something similar once but with zip ties to hold a lamp shade in place while I rewired it, ended up making a mess and had to call my buddy. @alexlewis I bet your buddy’s wife has a lot of stories like that, we all need someone who just holds the thing steady.
