Was dead set against monitor arms until I tried one last month

I always thought monitor arms were overpriced and just a flex for desk pics. But my neck was killing me after 8 hour days hunched over stacked books. Finally grabbed a basic $45 arm off Amazon and set it up in 20 minutes. The freedom to tilt and swivel exactly to eye level actually fixed my posture and gave me back a ton of desk space. Anyone else hold out on one for too long?

People sleep on the desk space you get back. I cleared off a whole corner once I mounted mine, now I can actually spread paperwork out without knocking things over.

Honestly, I used to think mounting monitors was just for fancy setups, but @rose_hart31 you totally changed my mind here. Tbh I always hated how the stock stand took up so much room and made my desk feel cluttered. Ngl I might finally give it a try since being able to actually spread out paperwork sounds like a game changer for my chaotic desk.
