That $15 desk shelf I bought off Amazon took 4 hours to assemble

Saw all these clean desk setups with those wooden riser shelves and thought hey easy upgrade. Picked up this cheap one from some random brand. Instructions were literally just pictures of screws with no labels and the holes didn't quite line up. Had to drill out three of them and sand down a leg that was crooked. By the time I got it level and steady I could have built one from scratch at Home Depot. Anyone else find a prefab desk accessory that fought back harder than it should have?

Yeah that's about right for cheap Amazon stuff... you get what you pay for I guess.

You do sometimes find hidden gems on there though, the trick is reading between the reviews.
