Serious question, how many zip ties did you find under your desk when you finally flipped it?

I was swapping out my monitor arm last night and flipped my desk over to get at the cable tray. Found 47 zip ties and 3 velcro straps from builds I did back in 2019, plus a dried up blueberry under the grommet. Where do these things even come from, or is my desk just a graveyard for old hardware by design?

My desk is a hoarder and I'm just now realizing it. I found 32 zip ties, a roll of electrical tape that had melted into the wood, and one mystery screw that doesn't fit anything I own. I also found an old receipt from 2018 for a sandwich I don't even remember eating, so apparently my desk is also a time capsule for bad decisions. The worst part is I put the desk back together and immediately threw the zip ties in a drawer "just in case I need them later." We both know I'm never going to use those things, they're just going to multiply under there again.

The "time capsule for bad decisions" part hit me way too hard, I found a similar receipt from a gas station in 2019 for a hot dog I don't remember buying. It's wild how we hold onto this junk thinking we'll somehow become the person who actually uses zip ties someday. Honestly, at this point I just accept that my desk is a museum of things I'll never touch again.
