My buddy said my desk looked like a spider web of cables and I took it personally

After he pointed that out I went and bought a pack of those adhesive cable clips for $8 at Home Depot and routed everything under the desk in a straight line, has anyone else had a friend call out their setup like that?

Honestly I felt personally attacked when my roommate said my desk looked like I was running a mini IT department from 2005. Had cables just dangling everywhere like sad spaghetti, you know? Spent way too long trying to hide them and now I can't even find my phone charger half the time.

Man, I had a buddy named Chris who swore up and down his desk was clean. His wife came home one day, took one look, and said it looked like a robot threw up in there. He spent three hours with zip ties and a label maker, and @alice_reed47 is right about the charger thing because now he can't find his mouse dongle. He texted me a photo of the finished work and I honest to god thought it was a stock photo of a LiDAR room. The label maker part is what got me.
