Can we talk about how I finally fixed my cable mess under the desk?

I spent two years with cables just hanging loose under my desk, tripping over them every time I stretched my legs. Last month I noticed my webcam kept freezing and traced it to a USB cable that was half crushed under my chair wheel. That's when it hit me that a simple $10 pack of adhesive cable clips from Target would have saved me all that trouble. Has anyone else found a cheap trick that made a bigger difference than they expected?

Those adhesive cable clips... I buddy-taped my entire desk setup to the wall with a 3M command hook I found in a junk drawer. Now my webcam cable is literally hanging from the ceiling like a jungle vine, but at least it's not getting crushed by my chair wheels anymore. I'd say it's a win until I have to explain to guests why my monitor keeps trying to float away.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. My desk used to look like a spaghetti monster exploded under there, and I'm pretty sure I lost a whole mouse to the void between the wall and my filing cabinet. I finally grabbed one of those cheap velcro cable tie packs and wrapped everything up like a little sleeping bag for cords. Now my webcam doesn't freeze mid-meeting, but I did accidentally tape my own headphone cord to the leg of my chair. Spent a solid five minutes trying to stand up and wondering why I was suddenly a puppet on a string.
