Wired up a plexi build with solid core wire instead of stranded and the noise floor dropped way more than I expected.

I always used stranded 22awg for everything until a buddy suggested trying solid core on the preamp section of my 50 watt clone. The hum went from barely noticeable to completely silent, wondering if anyone else has had similar luck switching wire types.

I mean, was this on the preamp inputs specifically or did you rewire the whole thing? Trying to figure out if solid core is worth the hassle on just the signal path or if it matters everywhere.
