Used to throw random posts at Facebook and hope something stuck, now I actually plan content out ahead of time

Back in 2021 I would just post whatever popped into my head on our business page, usually a photo of a finished job with a one sentence caption. No thought about timing or audience or what people actually wanted to see. It was a total crapshoot, and most posts got like 10 likes from my mom and a neighbor. Then about 8 months ago I sat down and started using a content calendar, planning posts 3 weeks out based on what questions clients kept asking me in person. I also started tracking which topics got comments versus just likes. The change was night and day, our engagement jumped maybe 40 percent in the first 2 months. Has anyone else found that just a little bit of planning ahead made a bigger difference than they expected?

My last vacation was exactly like that, just stumbled into a great spot by accident.

Funny enough @spencer_johnson22, I used to plan everything down to the hour but now I kinda get the appeal of just wandering into something good.
