The week my analytics crashed 70 percent and nobody noticed for 6 days

I run a small ecommerce site for a local furniture store in Portland. Last month I was prepping our quarterly report and something felt off. Traffic numbers were way lower than I expected. I dug into Google Analytics and found out we had a tracking code glitch starting on a Tuesday. It was a broken script in the footer that only fired on mobile. Desktop looked fine so I missed it at first. For almost a week our mobile data was basically zero. Nobody on the team saw it because they only check desktop reports. The client thought sales were just slow. I fixed it on a Saturday morning after 3 hours of digging. Have any of you had a tracking issue fly under the radar for days or weeks?
