That time a Reddit stranger's A/B testing advice saved my product launch

About 3 months ago I was getting ready to drop a new landing page for my side gig selling handmade plant pots. A user in this sub called 'digital_hermit' told me to try running two versions of my headline for just 48 hours before picking one. I was skeptical because I figured my gut feeling was good enough after 5 years of selling online. But I set up a quick test with Google Optimize anyway. One headline said 'Handmade Ceramic Pots' and the other said 'Pots That Make Your Plants Look Good'. The second one got almost 40% more clicks in two days. I would have never guessed that. Has anyone else had a simple test like this change your whole approach to a campaign?

I read that small wording changes can have huge effects on conversion rates.
