My lead gen forms went from a 2% conversion rate to 8% in 90 days after I cut the number of fields from 11 down to 4
I saw a webinar that tested it and figured it was worth a try, but I didn't expect that dropping the phone number and address fields alone would more than triple how many people actually finished the form - has anyone else seen a similar jump by stripping down their landing page forms?

Cutting fields is the single biggest conversion lever most people ignore. I dropped from 9 fields down to 5 on my B2B landing page and saw a similar jump, went from about 3% to 11% in two months. The biggest surprise was that keeping the email field and a single dropdown for company size worked way better than asking for job title and phone number. People just don't want to hand over that info unless they have to. Trying to get more data upfront actually costs you the leads you already have.
