Choosing between a new website or just fixing our old one

Our old site was slow and looked bad on phones, but a new build was going to cost over $10,000. We picked the rebuild, and after three months, our bounce rate dropped by 40%. Has anyone else faced a similar choice and regretted it?

Totally see this with old cars too. People keep pouring money into repairs when a newer, more reliable model would save them time and stress in the long run. That bounce rate drop proves it was worth the upfront cost.

Throw on a set of brake pads yourself for like fifty bucks and that old car keeps going another year with no payment. New car note is gonna run you more than that repair bill most months.

Read an article about sunk cost fallacy with cars. People fix the transmission for three grand because they already put two grand in last year. Meanwhile, the car needs new brakes next month. It's like paying a mortgage on a pile of scrap metal. The math never works out in your favor.
