Woke up in a Chiang Mai hostel realizing I'd been working wrong for 2 years
I was pounding coffee at 7am grinding on client work but my brain didn't kick in until noon. Turns out I'm a night owl and trying to force the 9-5 nomad schedule cost me 30 real productive hours a month, has anyone else figured out their actual peak time yet?

Oh man, I used to be one of those "wake up at 5am and crush it" people. I thought night owls were just lazy or undisciplined, you know? But then I started paying attention to when I actually got my best work done and realized I'm way sharper from like 10pm to 2am. It's weird because society pushes the early bird thing so hard, but forcing myself to be up at dawn just meant I was half-asleep for half the day. Once I stopped fighting my natural rhythm, I actually started getting more done in less time. It's not about being better or worse, it's just figuring out what works for your own brain and body.

I mean, is it really that deep? You figured out you work better at a different time of day, congrats. That's not some life changing revelation, that's just noticing you're tired in the morning like most people. A lot of folks in hostels are just hungover and blame their "chronotype" for not wanting to type emails before noon. You probably lost more time in Chiang Mai wandering around looking for pad thai than you did from being a night owl.
