The worst week of nomading I ever had was in Medellin last March

I got hit with three disasters in five days. First my laptop screen cracked when I closed it with a pen on the keyboard. Then the Airbnb host doubled my rate mid stay because of some festival. And to top it off I got food poisoning from a street arepa and was out of commission for two days. Lost like $400 total between the screen repair and the price hike. Has anyone else had a week that just piled on like that? How do you bounce back when everything goes wrong at once?

Maybe it's just me but that sounds like a pretty normal week of travel to me.

I packed way too much for my first big trip and ended up living out of one corner of my suitcase. Now I stick to a few pairs of jeans and maybe two extra shirts for a week long trip. I also started booking morning flights so I'm not wasting whole days driving or sitting around. For me, the key is keeping the driving under four hours between stops so I don't get burned out by day three.
