That $300 'ultralight' backpack I bought for travel turned out to be a total lie

I saw this pack online from a brand I won't name, but it was hyped as the perfect digital nomad bag. Cost me $300 and they said it was 45 liters and under 2 pounds. First trip to Medellin, the straps started digging into my shoulders after two hours of walking. Turned out the padding is basically nothing, just some foam that compresses flat. Then the zipper caught on the fabric and split a seam on day three. I patched it with duct tape and that held for a while, but I ended up buying a cheap Osprey at a local store for half the price. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these 'travel influencer' recommended bags?

Osprey is great but those ultralight packs skip basic padding for weight, false advertising really.

Yeah, that's a bummer when they cut corners on comfort like that.
