Swapped my city cafe routine for a hostel rooftop in Lisbon

I used to work from the same coffee shop in Portland every day, spending like $8 on a latte just to get wifi. Then in March I moved to Lisbon and started using the rooftop at my hostel in Alfama. The view of the river beats any cafe window, plus I save about $200 a month on drinks. Anyone else find their productivity actually got better after ditching the cafe setup?

I was totally in the "yeah right, it's just a distraction" camp until I actually tried it. Three weeks in and my output went up like 30% just from not having to deal with all that cafe noise and awkward small talk with baristas.

Are you actually getting more work done though or does the view just make you feel more productive while you scroll? lol
